Weight removal questions...
Thanks guys, and please.. don't flame

The only reason I didn´t do it yet is the lower price I will get when I sell the car. In other words: I do not have the money to strip the car.

The Goodyear EMT tires are very heavy, so you could replace the tires with lighter ones and while you're at it replace the wheels with lite racing wheels. The seats are also very heavy, so replacing them with lite weight racing seats would save a bunch of weight. If you don't mind hot summers, remove the air conditioning system. There are exhaust systems that are a lot lighter and also sound better than the factory system. Also replace the battery with a lith weight racing battery.
The body pannels are plastic but not fiberglass, and weigh less than fiberglass. So assuming that you like a good looking car, there isn't anything you can do in that department. I don't think that you'll be able to remove as much weight from the C5 that you would like, but you should be able to shed a couple humdred pounds doing the things I have outlined above. Good luck with your project. :D
The easy stuff, (spare, jack) is already gone.
If you dont have the HUD, you're way ahead of the game.
I suppose there's some fat in the exhaust system...... Also, non-runflats would help.
I refuse to sit in front of a loaded cannon shell (airbag) so after disconnecting both of them, I thought,
"Why carry the extra weight around?" Those two items, driver and pass. airbags, were good for
over 25 lbs.
Gas weighs 6 1/2 lbs per gallon, that's 65 lbs if you DON'T put in 10 gallons.
Empty the windshield wash fluid.............
I don't really see what else (besides the entire stereo system) is left.
