Not even sure what HID stands for!!! High instensity D????? -would like to convert to this system on my 2000 C5 - what do I need? I think you need the lights and some conversion kits of some sort - know that Radio Flyer has this stuff - just want some information on these set ups.

High Intensity Discharge.......
This topic has been discussed in detail. Lot's of info if you search.
For ~$90 per pair (highs, lows, fogs) you can get a kit from JW motoring that includes HID Bulbs, ballasts, and wiring that is plug and play with your stock system. If you do more than one pair spring for the battery relay harnesses...
For $300 - $600 you can get ACA knockoff housings that include an HID projector for low beams and a regular halogen for high beams. Some come with bulbs and ballasts and some do not.
For $800+ you can get projection beam high-end (SWEET LOOKING) lights from JW Motoring (Sun Guns) or Radio Flyer (Light Cannons)

Dennis, the ebay ones are identical to mine, the ones you saw at Bakers. Sometimes I take a ride at night just to see the light! Don't worry about the headlight cover, just make a few pencil marks where they attach to the bracket and line them up the same later. Be careful not to break off too much on the one piece shown in Patches's writeup, and don't put it in a vice..it is brittle and will cost you $75 to replace; don't ask me how I know. Also, start on the passenger side and do one at a time so you don't get all the hardware mixed up...the connectors can only go on one way so if you start scratchin' your noggin just slow down and focus! (I know, bad pun)
