LS6 oil pump question

LS6 oil pump question
What is the commom mistake that people seem to make when installing an LS1/LS6 oil pump. I remember something about the O-ring to be careful of, is that all? Also see output side is just metal oil pump surface to metal engine block with no gasket/no O-ring, is that right?

Its very easy to install on a vette....it is hard to screw up. Go under the car on your back with your head on the radiator side of the car. You get a great view of everything from this angle. Just make sure the o-ring is seated all the way into the pump as you start tightening the pickup tube. It is obvious when you pinch it as part of the o-ring will be between the pump and the tube.
