I know, do the search...I did. But I have a bit different situation. Car has 71,000 on it and the belts chirp and I noticed some of the "wobble". From what I read I would probably just drive it. Heck all the 70s GMs I owned had squeaky belts.
But, in the course of rebuilding the collision damage, I have to swap out the engine cradle which means the rack comes out too. So for less than a hundred bucks, should I slap on a new balancer? Can't believe they are that cheap. Sounds like a no brainer but where do you draw the line. No I'm not spending for an aftermarket. If a new GM one goes another 70 thou...I may not be around by that time.
