My switch suddenly stopped switching from bright to dim about a week ago, and unfortunately it is stuck on bright. I can get the dims to come on, but only through fiddling with the arm to get it in a certain position. This is obviouslyy a problem. Even more of a problem when on friday morning I managed to flash a cop three times while trying to hold my lights on dim as I was coming up behind him. He pulled over, but never did pull me over after I passed him

I pulled the switch apart, but I'm not sure exactly what might be the problem. I don't know if it is mechanical or of it is a contact issue. The switch arm seems to work like it is supposed to, pull the arm back to monentarily get brights, push it forward and it clicks to stay in bright mode. However, when I put it back in dim mode it remains bright.

Anybody got any suggestions of what to look at? I really don't have the money right now to buy a new switch, and I want to fix the one I have if I can. I know I can probably fix it, but I'm not sure where to look inside of it.
