Looks like MGW is the one to go with. Will changing to this eliminate the skip shift or is that a separate thing.

Good choice going with the MGW. However, changing the shifter will not eliminate the skip shift. You will need to purchase and install a CAGS eliminator for that. Several vendors on the forum sell them and also can be found on flea bay for under $20

CAGS bypass or it can be tuned out. The bypass harness is the cheaper route unless you already have tuning software.

You can buy one here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...artshouse.html

Out of curiosity is the MGW a far better shifter than the B&M Ripper. I installed it last year, as one of my first mods, and really noticed a huge difference. Put a longer shift *** on it so I could just palm the 2 to 3 and 4 to 5. Works great.

The B&M is a nice piece. There's a vette around here with one installed that I drove and liked it. It's a little notchier than the MGW but I'm not sure it'd be worth it to switch... Find someone with an MGW close to you and try it out. Shifter feel is very subjective.
