Do stock C5's have a rev limiter? I have a 2001 with auto tranny. Today I had her pulled all the way down in 1st and punched it and at the top she acted like it was missing or something... I dont know how many rpm's I was hitting because it got there so quick I did not have a chance to look. Me and a really sharp looking 67 Camaro were having some fun and this was the first time I had the tranny in 1 and accelerated like that. I have only pulled her down to 1 a couple of times to decelerate in the hills. Anyway, she did not get hot & trans fluid remained around 160 to 170 degrees. I put it in D and did a couple of wot's and it shifted fine so I dont guess I hurt anything.... Just bought the car in June and still learning how to drive it.

Yeap. That one in the video is exactly what mine sounded like. And I went Thanks for the replies. And, yeap, i guess I found it
As for the camry reply...... Might have found it sooner if it was not an auto tranny....
