During a recent exhibition of wheel hop, i cracked my passenger side cover.
I can't find a part number, price or anything I've searched until i'm blue in the face.
I've found DTE's side cover but $400-500 for a cover, Not something I can afford right now. It's a pretty good crack
Thankfully I made it on a 500 mile journey after the crack! I had no idea it happened, still have a tiny bit of fluid, also is there a way to tell if the rear end internals were damaged?

In my opinion, if the wheel hop event was pronounced enough to crack the side cover, that differential needs to be pulled and inspected.
If it were me,,,,, I would disassemble the differential and insp. While you are in there, either harden the internal parts or install a hardened rear with a gear ratio of your pick!
Good time for a clutch up-grade.
Also time for an ECS brace , Pfdat differential mount and some C6 suspension parts. All that helps to significantly reduce wheel hop. It will NOT eliminate it,, just reduce the frequency!

If the diff didn't make any noise coming home, it should be fine but I would still have it inspected. Another vote for ECS trans/diff mount!!!!!!!! I recommend them to all my customers!!!
