Default Since installing ported TB on my C5

It has been popping a lot more on decel. Like 2-3x more than normal.

Is this a sign of the ported TB making the car run rich or lean? I've been trying to drive it as lil as possible and take my truck until I can get a re-tune on Nov 5th but Im just curious when adding a ported TB if they make them run rich or lean until a retune

well. if it now allows more air in to mix with a fixed amount of fuel it would be lean, correct?

Yes, but wouldn't that mean less popping during decel because it'd be less unburnt fuel coming out

Actually,, if you just ported the TB and nothing else,, it shouldn't change that much to effect the tune. Are you sure that its properly sealed on the manifold and nothing was done to the throttle blade like a hole was drilled in it??

Squirt some brake parts cleaner around the TB/Manifold joint and vacuum lines and see if it changes the idle. If it does,, you have a LEAK!

If you have a scanner that reads live sensor data or have access to EFI Live or HP Tuners, you can data Log and see what the LTFTs are doing. That will let you know if it is way off the tune. The LTFT value should be very close to ZERO or very slightly negative.
