Codes C1243 and C2860
Just wanted to pick everyone's brain on the following issue...The "Service Active Handling, Traction Control, and ABS" messages populate every time I start the car. After doing some lengthly research in the tech forum and Bill Curlee's sticky post, I wanted to ask everyone if these two are codes are related? I have also been experiencing the issue of the turn signals working intermittently.

C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled
B2830 Telescoping Column Position Sensor Failure (I had the column lock fixed last year)
I plan on checking out the following things:
1) examine ground connections on each side of the engine.
2) Examing the LR Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit.
3) Manually trying to activate the ABS with a volt wire.
Does anyone think I am missing something? I plan on taking the car to Corvette Connection here in Bolton, but I want to avoid hours of labor is I can pinpoint the problem areas.
Thanks again for any advice!

Before you do that, I recommend doing a brake system flush to get some fresh fluid in the system.
Heres the post that you need to do the motor run. If you have an amp meter, you can put it in series with the power supply and see how much you improve the motor. As it runs it will free up and start to draw less current... Its fairly easy to run the motor and free it up. Start using your antilock brakes more often. When ever its wet out and I find a nice straight isolated place or a big parking lot, I hammer the brakes and allow the motor to pulse the brakes. I also use my AH a lot too!!

As for the steering wheel issue,, lets work on and solve the EBTCM issue first. You can start by examing the sensor wiring connectors. If they were in there doing work, they may not have properly connected the connectors or damage them when they did connecded them. Thats fairly easy.
Here is your schematic. Does your drivers seat work properly???

Use the meter to measure and test the components.
I will be on a business trip starting Thursday so,, i dont know how much internet time I will be able to have as the trip is going to be a busy one.
The problem originally started whenever I drove it hard and "activated" the AH. Now, the problem comes in every time I start the car.
In your private message to me, you made a great point about flushing the fluid. When I took a look at the reservoir, the fluid did look cloudy. I had the brakes and oil flushed last year this time, but I have read some of the forum members changing their fluid as much as 4-5 times a year. Being up in CT, and only driving 3,000 miles a year, I'm not sure this would be applicable to me. I will disconnect the EBCM from the BPMV and see if I can manually get the motor to run. I really have my fingers crossed on this one- I would rather not shell out $2,500to fix my EBTCM and BPMV..

Driver's seat does work properly, although I have to manually select the "1" setting on my door to get the seat back in place...It used to do it automatically when I put the key in the ignition.
I sent the ECBM to ABSFixer.com and repaired the unit. I reinstlalled cleared all codes now I have Service traction/ handling sys Light and the warning lite is on. But when I put on my traction button on the the positract comes on and off accordingly...and verified this on the rack with operation. Is this interelated or two seperate events that have come on at the same time...when I got the 1214 code I got all these warning lights the ABS is now not showing and looks like repaired. Need help thanks...

CLEAR ALL THE OLD DTCs!!
When the issue happens again,,, IMMEDIATELY without turning OFF the ignition,,,, read the DTCs.
When you turn the car OFF,, someof the EBTCM codes reset them selves.
Post what you read.

Just wanted to follow up on my earlier post. I spoke with Paul Koelner at Branford Chevrolet here in CT (great resource and very helpful), and he provided me with some tips that I think you may find helpful. For code: C1243, he recommended the following:
1) Check the grounds:
a. G101- by driver’s side headlight
b. G108- by passenger side battery terminal
2) If corrosion is found, clean terminals with “scotchguard” and brush corrosion off.
3) Check ABS fuse in underhood electrical box
a. Specifically, check ABS fuse #52. This says “ABS” and is 40 amps.
b. Check ABS fuse #53. This says “ABS ELEC” and is 20 amps.
Overall:
1. Disconnect module (pulling the handle clip)
2. Check and clean ground locations G101 and G108
3. Check ABS fuses #52 and #53.
***When finished: Reconnect Grounds, MAKE SURE NOTHING IS IN IGNITION AND IT IS OFF, and connect ABS Module. Connect battery and put key in ignition. See if you get any codes!***

Just finally got power back in CT, I was able to clear the codes as I was driving, but everytime I engage the TCS, the codes reappear.
Now, I have the dreaded C1217 code. Still need to check the grounds (fuses appear to be fine); but all signs point to replacing the BPMV and/or the EBCM..
