check injector fuses, check ground on back of drivers side head, check coil pack harness on drivers side for rubbing against back of head area, check spark plugs for cracks (common when removing exhaust with out removing plugs first. Check to see what cyls are missing with a tech 2 if u can.
There should only be ONE ground on the rear of the DRIVERS head. It G-106 and has TWO black /white stripe wires into ONE eyelet.
OP
Do you hear the fuel pump PRIME at KEY ON????
How are you reading the DTCs?????
Im guessing it a fuel pressure issue..
BC
My two black/white wires are connected to the bolt that holds down the coolant plug. No codes while cranking and partially running. When I released the pressure on the schrader valves to remove the fuel rail there was a tremendous spray of gas. This is unlike the other 10 times i have done it and there was a small release of gas (thimble). Fuses for injectors are good.
AHA, I remember that I modifed the ground end and put a connector on it that was too small for the bolt on the head and relocated it to the coolant plug. It did work fine for the last year though... I am going to put it back in the original location.

No need to guess here. Just use the schematics and a meter verify you have a good ground at the coil pack harnesses.
Can I simply test ground by testing for ground from bracket to frame?
No. You need to test the ground to each bank harness. As you know, there is one common connector on each bank, the feeds the coil packs. You can unplug the connector, and check for a good ground on the harness side(plug) at pin "A" (black/white wire). Check from this pin, to the engine block. You can do this on each bank, and ensure you have a good ground from the harness plug, to the engine block.

So far... runs poorly, won't idle under 1000.
Changed plugs, wires, injectors (had spare set). Fuel pressure appears good, I get spray when I releive the pressure at the valve. Checked electrical connections and reset them.
Codes on DIC are -p0300
Codes on HP tuners p0300, p0102
Maf cleaned with MAF cleaner. I have the LS6 maf with wire adapter for the IAT. Blocked off old IAT on Vararam housing.
Car ran fine before the head swap two weeks before.
Ideas?

Did you verify the adapter harness with a meter? Have you tried installing the old MAF, and plugging in the IAT?
