Default Help Dead Vette

I'll try to describe my problem but I have limited mechanical skill or knowledge.
My 99 FRC sat for about 10 days. when I went to start it......nothing...no lights no nothing. I could jump start it but the battery didn't hold a charge. So off I went and replaced the battery AC Delco. No problem car started right away and I drove to and from work yesterday. This morning starts no problem as I'm driving I hear a loud clicking that seemed to behind under the front seat or slightly behind the seat. Service ABS comes on...all the dash lights come on I pull to the side turn off the car..Although now I think that was redundant because there is no response to putting the key in the ignition and nothing happens when I turn the key. Apparently there is no power anywhere in the car.

Any thoughts...I will try a jump start later today and may be able to get some codes.

If I were a betting man, I'd say the power drivers seat is draining the battery(common issue). You may have a issue with the SCM(or associated wiring), disturbing the class 2, and creating issues. Pulling the codes will fill in the blanks.

Okay I'll finally got a chance to try to restart my car...I had looked at the threads re the power seat ,module and was already planning to justify replacing the seat with Corbeau A4...I did note the comment to make sure the battery cables were tightened......
After actually tightening the cables the old FRC started right up!!!

I will pull the codes though as I do think there is a drain on the battery.

In my defence I did say I had limited mechanical skills and knowledge.
