Put down the tools!

Amazing the danger we subject ourselves to.
I'm in the middle of removing the drive line & thought I had disconnected the battery, well I had previously then reconnected it....left the project for a couple of days & returned & FORGOT!
Yikes & guess which starter terminal I had my 1/4" ratchet on when I hit the header
Of course it begins to weld itself!I did not panic just momentarily stared in dis belief what I just done
car is in the air
so i grabbed a long 1/2" extension & hit the 1/4" ratchet & sent it flying
Of course to cap the stupidity I then touch the 1/4" ratchet
hopefully the burns on my hand is the extent of the damage. You should not post stupid self induced acts like this
however I thought it is important as the consequence could have quite serious.Just sayin Brain Fade can be disastrous.

It only takes 1 experince like that one to keep the brain fade away for a long long time.....

I was doing some major drive train mods to my 02 ZO6 back in August. Man,, it was hot as hell and I was wet with sweat!
I was almost done and was rechecking the tightness of the header bolts.I was checking the last bolt on the passengers side on (#8 cylinder). When I stuck the socket on the bolt my hand started clinching (all by its self!!!
) WTF?????
So,, I "Stuck the socket on the bolt AGAIN!" Same thing, only this time, my arm was burning!
What the hell????
I was touching the Positive Top Post of the OPTIMA Battery with my forearm and completing the circuit to the block thru my hand..
A battery may not shock you very easily if you touch the post with your hands but,, it sure as hell can shoot some current thru your arm when your sweaty!

I had a small burn mark on my forearm. No damage to the arm or hand other than the red mark on the arm. Very strange feeling!!
TWICE!
