Okay guys, car is a 2000 vette, 6 speed with 130k on the clock. The car recently has been running like crap, especially at idle. I figured it was adjusting to the colder weather we've had here lately but it hasnt gone away. I've pulled the codes and this is what I got:
PCM- P0102 Maf Circuit Low- maf sensor is less than two years old, could it be dirty? Should I replace it? Would this cause bad idle?
Also, when I get near the redline the car has recently gone into the "safe mode" and sounds like it is running on 4 cylinders with 0 power. Could this be due to worn plugs? No codes that I've pulled have said anything about this and it only happens if, say, I downshift from a higher gear to a lower gear and get near the redline. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

COLD WEATHER will NOT have ANY ill effects on your car. If ALL the systems are working correctly,, it will run correctly in the Desert and in the Arctic Tundra without even trying!
You have a MAF issue. First check for a dirty MAF, then the wiring and connections. Then clear the DTCs and see what you have.
The intake air ducting between the MAF and TB MUST be completely sealed (AIR TIGHT) so the engine gets the proper metered air.

Hahah I was hoping it was just adjusting. I bought some MAF cleaner and new plugs. Will get at it this weekend and report back. I checked all connections and there don't seem to be any leaks, but ill get some carb cleaner and see if it affects idle.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't get carb cleaner I believe they make specific MAF cleaner.
