Seal between engine/transmission needs replaced
Ah, no wonder I can't see it...
Great instructions. Alas, while I think I could follow them, in case of a problem I would be over my head. A man has got to know his limitations.
Looks like I will be heading to another shop and asking them to look closely at the oil pressure sensor as the source.

Once again, I live in the Richardson area, and would encourage you to look at Corvette World over in Carrollton. I had them work on my car after others could not fix my problem, and it was done well. The mechanic loves working on C5's and will get it correct the first time, instead of wandering all over looking for a good corvette mechanic. Just my opinion, I don't work there or even know anyone there, but next time I need something done that I cant deal with, thats where mine will go.
don't go to that dealer anymore. some dealers are better than others, and this sounds like one to stay away from. they don't even know how the drivetrain is setup, and they are telling you a wild guess. find a competent dealership that doesn't think the transmission bolts directly to the engine. it seems that a gm dealership with a quality service department is hard to come by these days. i'll never let a dealership touch my vette, but i'll let them put free parts on my cobalt... and you bet i'll inspect it quite thoroughly after the job is done.
