Unfortunate that is normal

Expect lots of chips and scratches on splitters, side skirts and rocker panels

For extra photos need to start a photo account with something like Pisca or Photobucket

Repaired this one twice so far. This last time was from an off track excursion. second pic is finished just waiting for finish paint. This how it looks now.

This is why I chose fiberglass!! the cost to repair with me doing all the work was about $60.00 which was enough to cover two repairs.

Depending on the size of the area, the repair guys in our shop have used "3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100, DP100 Plus, DP100NS and DP100FR" for small cracks and ding fill in followed by various grits course to less course of wet sanding to a final buffing. If cracked too bad they are replaced with new.

Based on your picture I would get some Duplicolor Clearcoat Touchup at Advance. Layer over the chip to raise the area to the rest of the clear, then sand starting with 1000 grit wet dry and work to 3000 grit. Lightly buff with some zaino scratch remover and you should be good to go.

That's why these spiltter are a PIA, especially on lowered cars. Waste of time and $$$ if you drive the car much, you will eventually nail something with it and destroy/mangle it. I remember the later model C3's with the factory front spoilers-you would almost never see one intact-glad they designed the folding one finally.
