Default x-pipes

Hey guys i had the vette on the lift today chasing a suspension problem. I noticed my car has an H-pipe and and x-pipe. I have lg long tube headers and would like to have an x-pipe only so i can install a wideband 02 and have room for cutouts. So what x-pipes will fit my lg headers?

I was looking at their xpipe but it seems it's too far back and that would affect the accuracy of the wide band. Will it not?

The farther back the X-pipe the greater amount of torque may be produced.

once it is installed, getting a great tune to go with it

My car is already tuned I just don't like te fact that is has an hpipe and xpipe. Looks like crap to me. Im using the wide band for monitoring purposes only not for tuning but I still want an accurate reading. And with the current setup I have no room for cutouts.

Tune your car again.

The turn should be refreshed each winter.

and making that change to the exhausts system is cause for another tune.

You never mentioned which brand/style header is on your car.
How does your existing header collector merge onto your present H/X pipe?

I know for a fact that the LG 3" X Pipe will bolt up to the GM Ti cat backs
(they reduce at that bolt up junction) & on the front, slip fit into an LG long tube header collector.

My headers are lg 13/4" but not sure if they are street series or pro series. They have a 2 bolt flange that connects to the hpipe and the xpipe is farther back. Its a hack job that's why I want to fix it

My car was just tuned Friday before last. And I bought it that Saturday which was the 19th. It's Procharged so I don't think its gonna change very much just removing a small restriction but I could be wrong.

Trying to learn here,,,Why would an H AND a X pipe be a good idea?????

Seems like a ton of turbulence causing back pressure big time!

Just haven't seen this combo before!

i have been searching for an xpipe for my car but all the ones i am finding have a slip fit style connection an my headers have a 2 bolt flange. I was told by the previos owner that they are LG headers but from what i see lg headers have a slip fit connection unless they are an earlier version.

Far enough to get the tune checked out.

any other mods you want to do, now would be the time.
