Mantic single clutch from ECS

While I haven't actually driven a car with the single, I heard very good things, many people compare it to an LS7 for pedal feel, but obviously with the ability to take a lot more abuse. I was able make my old LS7 clutch slip on the street even with my old heads/cam setup.

Chris and Doug said the pedal feel is stock, there is no chatter, and the engagement is butter smooth yet it can hold 700rwhp. At first I was reluctant to put it in because of my past experience with aftermarket clutches. Theres always a compromise. But not this time! As soon as I got in the car and pushed the clutch pedal to start it, it felt so light that I thought I have a hydraulic issue. I was expecting a leg workout. I start it up and head for home.
Let me tell you that Chris and Doug were dead on with how they described this clutch to be! It is butter smooth, the pedal feels even lighter than my stock OEM clutch, zero chatter, no noise in neutral, zero vibrations!
Before my stock bottom end let go, I was hitting gears at high RPMs nice and clean! I highly recommend this "no compromise" clutch!

I will be considering one for a C6Z down the road but I will be doing heads/cam/etc.

I'm sorry, I'll clarify more. Going with very lightweight flywheel (aluminum) and say a clutch assy that weighs next to nothing makes the car a little more difficult to drive. Adding a H/C set up makes that even worse. Idle issue's, just more of a race car feel which can get tiresome on the street after a while.
The Mantics are lighter, I was referring to an ultra light set up. I am honestly having a hard time articulating the feel of a clutch that is too light weight on the street other then it just doesn't feel right IMHO. If someone can elaborate better then I have as to why, go for it, but I hope that answered the question for you.

They are literally like stock, very easy to drive yet hold the power.

Once the clutch has grabbed (pedal disengaged) it is unlikely that it will let go even on a fresh install. The trouble comes more from WOT shifts where it is trying to stop the inertia of the two surfaces under full power while the discs are not fully mated yet.
Hope that helps!
