Oxygen Sensors Help with rattle noise
My 2003 has this rattle that is driving me crazy. When you rev the engine a little before turning it off there is this rattle. It sounds like a loose tail pipe clamp. But none are loose. A GM mechanic told me that he replaced the Oxygen sensors on a Caddie and that stopped the noise, same type of setup as the C5. He said it is about 200.00 to replace them or he said you could try putting some sealant on the caps of the sensors. The two pictures are the (not mine) tail pipes showing the two sensors and a small picture of the cap he was referring to. If you tap them they do make a tinnie (rattle) sound. Has anyone had that sound and if so what did you do about it. And is that what I am hearing or any other ideas? Any help and suggestions appreciated.
