So after getting it all back together and not having any pressure i pulled it all apart again to find the oring pinched. After getting it back together with the proper oring my cold pressure is much better.. 70* 65psi, but hot pressure is still low 200* 14psi.

What is the pressure at a new cold start? Are you using the same oil filter or did you change it?

Unless I missed something, I don't see where you verified the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.

Knowing that the motor was built with "loose" clearances, and not knowing how loose, you may just be chasing your tail.

I have not yet done this, but I have replaced the sender with a brand new one, and still have the same readings. I know i need to get ahold of a mechanical gauge and test the pressure, im going to try and get one tomorrow

Im using the same but brand new pf46 filter

Today's first start yielded 65psi then worked its way back to 12psi @ 226 degree oil temps after a driving a bit

194* oil temp = soild 15psi

Has anyone looked at the GM specs on LS1 oil pressure?
Hot- w/ 5-30 synthetic ( min. pressure)
1000 rpm 6 psi
2000 rpm 18 psi
4000 rpm 24 psi
WOW seems low to me!

Mine is having the same issue. Great pressure when cold but drops to 10 when at operating temp.

Mine turned out to be worn cam bearings...but I suppose 75k (not-so-easy) miles out of a N/A 500+ hp LS6 isn't anything for me to gripe about

Had it rebuilt with a high volume Melling pump (mooaarr oil!) and heat treated bearings (better longevity). Hot idle never goes below 45 psi
