So I got the cam and headers on over the weekend and was wondering what I should do for the tune...buy a hand held? Mail order? Dyno? Thanks in advance guys! Oh yeah and the cam is a .232 .236 579 579 on 112lsa.

Best= dyno tune
OK= mail order from the cam suppiler
Bottom or last choice = hand held.
My pick I went Texas Speed and Performance tune for their cam.
A mailorder tune will get you in the ball park--But without driving the car it would be tough to precisely change all the tables that need to be addressed
Thats a pretty good mid-sized cam and you'll get starting issues-idle issues--surging--
Chances are with your cam it will need to idle around 800-850-If you car is an A4--you won't be able to hold it at a stoplight with the stock 1200 RPM converter--It will be a total PITA---So a mild stall would be a huge asset---
Also there no way to get your fuel trims in line (0 or slightly negative) without doing some data logging/driving--At best a mail-order tune would be a guess--Remember that any positive fuel trim during P/T is also added to your WOT fueling as well as a safety--That will make you engine pig rich and lazy at WOT--
