Recently my oil pressure gauge started reading 80 psi. It stays on 80 psi when the engine is running. Is it due to a faulty oil pressure sending unit? If so how do I find it and replace it? I tried to find a online repair manual but was unsuccessful. Anyone out there got a solution for my problem? Thanks.

Use the search here and you'll find a gazzillion reports of failed oil pressure sensors. Its behind the intake on the driver's side. Most pull the intake and replace it and others have cut holes in the plastic trim above to access it. Early on when the failures started happening, the replacement sensors were no good too and would fail quickly. Some of us, relocated the sensors using copper tubes and so on. Since then the parts people started coming out with new "brass" senders which I recommend.

Here's a solution-don't multiple post on the same thing that there are 100's of threads on already.

Happens,,,,don't get in a hurry,,,,your engine is fine until you decide which way to go. Brass and relocation is the best option. If it ever fails again,,,quick fix..

I gotta be honest with you, if you couldn't find a thread on this, you need serious work on your search skills. Look for the three options:
remove intake, cut a hole in cowl, use the flexible extension and socket (which I and many others were unable to get to work). A fourth option is take it to a Corvette repair shop. Some of the threads have video how-to's and others have pictures with instructions. If you decide to remove the intake ( the most correct way) I would get the relocation kit and move it out where you can get to it next time without removing anything.
