On ebay I see a lot of tuner chips for around $25 or so. They guarantee
to see increases of 30-35 HP. Are any of these any good and do what they say. If so does anybody buy them and are they any good. Just curious to see what you guys know about them.

You should now know that there are many people that will give you a hard time on certain subjects here on this or any other car forum.
The is no "chip" for the C5 period! Only a reprogram of your car's computer can enhance performance. Minor gains can be accomplished on a stock C5 by a retune from factory specs. After modifications like headers, cold air intake, cam swap, headers, intake manifold, etc. would it make any sense to retune your car. Keep reading and learning and don't let the jokers get to you!
I am less able to fool than I used to be,,,,took a while though!

This is probably one of those chips that plugs into your IAT sensor tricking the engine into thinking it is running cooler than it actually is so the timing table is advanced.
Ya, GM decided that a Corvette with 350hp was so much better than a Corvette with 375hp. LOL
There is no place to put a chip in a C5. The Ebay parts are garbage designed to steal your money.
By no means when I started this thread was I wanting or thinking on buying one. I guess i was just wondering how there are so many different models of these on the market...somebody out there is buying them. Myself, I am aware of the correct tune and by no means would throw the money towards these people. Thanks for all the input, some of it was very funny, much like the product. Trainor
I remember when I was 10 years old there were advertisements in the back of comic books for X-Ray Vision Glasses.. They claimed you could see through peoples clothes and look through walls.. I'm thinking I can look through girls dresses!! I wanted to order a pair and asked my Dad if I could.. He basically told me it was a scam and I was an idiot for even thinking of buying a product like this... I was really upset.. Years and years later, I would see the same old ads for the x-ray vision glases and wonder to myself how much money this Business has made over the years.. Like they say... There is a sucker born every minute.. as well as another scam or scam artist.. The TV Televangelists that come on at 2am. in the morning really get me... Selling religion to poor folks to profit off of them.. Totally insane.. Peter Popoff comes to mind.. Robert Tilton too.. Jeez.... Ok I'll get off my soap box
