Have any of you guys had exhaust problems? I think I have a problem on the drivers side where the pipes connect before going over the rear axle. Is this common or is it unique to BBDWolf?
Yes, this is a fairly common problem. The weld at the flange broke on my car. The only difference is that it happened on the passenger side exhaust pipe of the vehicle just before it goes ove the rear end. The same weekend that it happened to me, it coincidentally happened to several others as well. My car only had 16K-18K miles on it when it happened. I didn't even bother fooling with GM on it. Instead I had it welded at a muffler shop so that it would be better than the original weld. GM would have replaced it however, it would have taken a lot longer and there would be no gauranty that it would not happen again in the future.

My '01 has a pinhole in the weld on the drivers side.
Noticed it at about 6k miles...I'm up to 20k now; it hasn't gotten any worse.
If I don't change out the exhause for a different system, I'll probably get it replaced before warranty runs out.
I took it to a muffler shop first. they took one look at it and told me to take it to the dealer. There was leaks at the welds up and down the exhaust. They fixed all of them but one. I picked up the car Friday afternoon. They told me all was fixed but one small leak. Guess where the car is going bright and early Monday morning. I want that last leak fixed. WTH!!!
I think the shop sux. They messed with it all day!

Uh, your car is almost fixed!!! BTW if you guys have not gotten you alignment checked on your wheels. I had my car checked and the back wheels were out. It was putting pressure on the front tires making them wear.
