Default Socket size for lug nuts

I know this is a simple question, but I just want to make sure. I tried a 3/4" and a 19mm socket on my lug nuts('99 c5), and they both seem to fit. Which is the correst size to use. Thanks for the info. :)

They appear to be the same size to me also. I use the 3/4" since it is hex and matches the lug nuts.

I use the 3/4 to take off the covers and the 19 for the lug nuts.
It's a good idea (IMHO) to use a 19mm deep when using your torque wrench to tighten your lug nuts.

The difference between 19mm and 3/4" is .002". The 19 mm is tighter.

I use a 19 mm deep with a torque wrench set to 100 in-lbs, but then, I like to mix my units.

The conversion factor is: millimeter x .03937 = inch, so 19 mm is .748 pretty close to 3/4".

The lug nuts on my '01 Z have "Metric" engraved right on them, so i have always used the 19mm in favor of the 3/4". :yesnod:
