[QUOTE=Trios;1580040528]I don't understand all the hate on the LMC5 from the CLB folks. Sure, if you installed the CLB and its working great for you, that's awesome and it's a great thing that it's doing its job. Now, there is a new product out there that does a similar job but possibly does it better as it gets rid of the messages that the CLB doesn't always get rid of - you'd think that'd be a win-win. Yet, I've seen a lot of posts from folks who love their CLB hating on those who are installing the LMC5, as if it were somehow an inferior product (which it MAY be, but we won't know until more people install it and possible problems occur).
I don't understand the resistance. I also don't understand why posts from 3 different threads, where the LMC5 module was discussed, have been removed.
The CLB has a long track record of solving most people's problem. The LMC5 has solved a problem for a few people the CLB did not work for. Why would anyone on this forum not want to pass along that information to the ones that have struggled with the dreaded messages even after installing a CLB.
So how much is this LMC5? Can we install it on our own? I was planning on doing the CLB in spring. But this seems to be a better option. 99 6 speed FRC.

Looks like it's ~$40, and sounds easy to install! I'm gonna put one in my 2000 as some insurance! I had issues getting the CLB to work after I had to have the car towed home, but since then it's worked fine. I still hate to know that there is still a chance it could happen again, and this sounds like good fix..

It is extremely easy to install, about 15 min. contact Compliance parts.com they are a vender on Corvette forum, that’s where I found them. I think its 37.00 plus shipping, I would have paid 300.00 I am so frickin happy about it. It doesn’t matter if your voltage goes low as long as the car can start. It doesn’t matter if the codes are already coming up, they will stop.
