This is the second time in four months. The first was a bad right front sensor. This time, it's not showing any codes. Four days now at the Chevrolet Dealer, with no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks
That should be titled Service ABS, Traction Control, Acrive Handling.
When you see the " Service ABS, Traction Control, Acrive Handling " message appear,, "without turning off the IGNITION,, press RESET to clear the messages from the DIC and then go directly into the Code Reading routene. When you see those messages,, theres a DTC set !!!!!
When you TURN OFF THE IGNITION,,, you clear the some of the EBTCM DTCs When you turn the ignition ON, that module does a SELF CHECK and a SWPS self centering routene "WARMING UP!"
You need to read the DTCs before you turn the ignition OFF.
Mine is doing the same thing right now. I pulled the codes and it gave me C1214. Which is related to the ECBM or the BPMV according to the service manual. I'm hoping it's just a lose connection to one of these.
Driver's side door wiring. This drove me nuts for about a year. Bill has a good write up on here. Do a search on exactly your title. You should be able to find lots of threads. Check battery voltage too, but I found my problem to be in wiring. Good Luck

1214 is normally a BAD power relay inside the EBTCM.. For your 02 its as easy as removing the EBTCM module and sending it in to one of the people who fix them. Anywhere from $100 to $150.

It isn't necessarily an either or. If you read the procedure it tells you to test for certain conditions and if they are found you replace both of the modules. You can get the EBCM repaired and it will work for a short time with a BPMV that needs to be replaced but it will eventually fail if the BPMV isn't replaced.
