They do work but,,,,,,,,,,,,, unless you have an AUTOMATIC Tranny, the stuff it does for you is limited. I was going to purchase one but paid the additional money for EFI Live. Glad I did...

if you're not running much mods I would just get a mail order tune but if you are running mods like cam, heads etc I would spend the extra money on real tuning software and a wideband.

The Predator In my opinion is the best of the handhelds and have the best support
kinda goes in this order
1. street driven tune combined with a dyno tune
2. dyno tune only
3. mail order tune
4 .Predator
5. the rest of the handhelds---
Thes car are pretty well tuned from the factory--don't expect much---10-15 RWHP
the more modded the more you need a real tune
The predator would be a good start--then if you add mods beyond it's capabilities you can always return it to STOCK and re-sale it and buy go to the next level

Before you spend money on a FULL Tune, please answer the following questions:

Automatic or Manual car?

What mods do you have now?

What are you plans for modfications in the future

How soon will you be adding more MODs

What GOALS do you have for the car and what are your end HP/TQ needs?

Really depends on WHERE you live-in the big cities like SF area or Sacramento or LA here in calif-- they do charge from $400-500--But in more rural area liek where I'm at here near Modesto--we wouldn't do ANY if we charged $500--its more like 1/2 that
