Default tire pressure

Hey there!

just one small question.

How mutch should fill pressure in stock dimension tires in front and rear?(Corvette c5 98')

I keep getting msg for RL tire that is low on pressure, though both tires got pretty mutch low on pressure after winter storage. might be the sensure crazy but i dont think ill replace them.
Btw, street use only, normal driving(more or less)

thank you!

You'll receive that message when the tires are <25psi.

30 psi "Cold" front and rear is the recommended pressure.

Default Some say they get excessive center tire wear

on the rears at 30 psi and are suggesting running rears at 29 psi cold. Seems nominal, but that's what they are saying. Just FYI.

1 psi seems a VERY nominal difference, especially with the stiffness of run flat tires.

Most tire pressure gauges probably have an error factor of +/- 1#. I know my digital tire pressure gauges (as well as TPMS in daily driver vehicles) never reflect the exact same air pressure.

BTW, I doubt GM tests for tire wear : pressure factor. Enough have complained about rear tire wear in center of tread to make one question the 30 psi rear setting. It is also true that it is difficult to accurately measure tire pressure to 1 PSI with most gauges we can get our hands on.
How do the NASCAR crews adjust pressures by as little as 0.25 psi??

I set my rear to 28 COLD and the fronts to 30-31. Its has the best wear, performance and wear characterics. Dint dorget that when you drive the car the pressure rises as the tire heats up.

Its tough to keep up with accurate pressures during the North East Connecticut) wide swings in ambiant temp! It can be 30 degrees in the mornings and 60 deg in the afternoon in one day.

As long as Im above 28-30 when I drive off, I consider it good. If it isnt, it a quick stop to the air pump!

You're very lucky with the 30 degree morning temps that you have near the CT shore.

It's always about 15 degrees colder up here near the MA border. One good thing, without having much snow this winter, is being able to drive the Corvette all winter long. Checking tire pressures a little more often is certainly a fair trade-off!

Because they use a $140 gauge from Longacre, while I use a $30 gauge from Pressure Direct, I think the name of it is....
