Default Rebuilt TPMS

Me Again.

My 99 Vette is showing it's age.

Got a TPMS valve out.

Have repalced two over the years .

I quess 13 years is a record for the original ones.

Probably should get two new ones.

Is someone still selling the rebuilt ones ??

Would like to get by cheaper than $100 buck a valve.

Thanks

If it were me,, I would rebuild my own but, there are several places that now sell generic NON GM sensors that work like new.

I saw them at walmart complete tire center (not on the shelf). Look on google / amazon.com ect

Make sure that you get the right series. 97-2000 OR 2001-2004

For the cost of a new set of 97-00 sensors, you can replace the entire system with the 01-04 system including the module, all four sensors, new (more reliable) key fobs, etc.

You can then sell your old fobs and recoup some of the money. Best of all, any future tpms or fob replacements will be WAY cheaper.

I saw that.

I want to get a set of the deep dish rims.

So when I get them I will do that.

But for now I found that Discount Tire will sell me some for $70.00 each and put them in for that price.

Why throw away the $140 now if you're going to upgrade later?

You know I got to thinking about that .

Your right why spend 140 bucks if I am going to do something different.

However I plan to sell the OLd GM thin spokes I have with the TPMS.

Could get a few bucks more if they are new.

Thanks for the advice, will most likely go with the new set.

I saw a set on amazon for like $170 buck receiver , tpms, and key fob.

Will have to check out some reviews but that is cheap.

May get what you pay for.

The very guy that I know of that does it. However he's sold his Vette so I don't know if he does it still or not.

Contact 70survivor. He rebuilds them with a new Swiss 10 year battery and new o ring. I got a set from him for $225 and sent him my old ones that were rebuildable for a $100 refund. You can't beat that.

Has the receiver, four tpms, and a key fob from what I can see.

That's a generic system - not Corvette specific. It requires you to keep the receiver plugged into the cigarette lighter plug all the time. Also, the receiver is what you're seeing in the picture - NOT a key fob. This doesn't communicate with your dash - its a stand-alone system.

Suck it up and get the real system.

Default Thanks all Last Question

OK
If I want to put the deep dish rims on my 99.

I either have to use bands for the old type tpms.

Or get a new receiver and four new style tpms.

I think the new system would be the way to go.

So who do ya'll suggest I get the set from ?

( Forgive me if you already posted it )

Thanks for all the great help.
