Just got some BBK Shorty Headers for my 04 vert today. One question, am I going to have a problem with the dipstick tube bracket mounting back on the cylinder head after passenger side header is installed? Looks like the header will cover the bolt hole. Thanks.
IIRC the dipstick tube bolts right up w/no issues. Also stop @ NAPA and
get some 31508 exhaust donuts which are 2 & 9/16 inches internal
diameter and fit perfectly. The stock manifold donuts only measure
2 and 5/16" and also don't fit the header collector without moving
around
My stock exhaust donuts fit the BBK's just fine, but maybe the Z06 donuts are different size vs non Z06?
Watch your front tube on pass side though as it might touch the a/c compressor fitting. Mine rubbed right up against it. Either dimple the tube or grind a tad off the a/c fitting fitting.
Also test fit all your flange bolts they supply. The coating sometimes gets caught in the threads and hard to start bolt under the car. One of mine had to have threads chased to get bolt to start.

Just did an install of these a week ago, the dip stick tube does not require trimming, if you remove it re-install and thread the header down the tube, as far as the exhaust I used stock size fit was perfect. The left side drops right in, on the right side I needed to trim the fitting on the rear of A/C compressor down to get 1/4" (6 MM) clearance. I recommend buying a new set of plug wires, my car had 40k miles and the boots were a bxxxh to get off ended up tearing up 1/2 of them, my plugs were like new so I would not buy new ones, but to each his own. All in all it was a simple easy job, header fit well and it really cleaned up the engine compartment. As far as performance maybe a little on the bottom end and a slight increase in exhaust note.
Good luck
