Default Coilover question

I bought front pair of PFADT coilovers off of ebay. I'm looing for the rear two, My question it if I replace the fronts, will it make my handling off, etc?

I have C6z06 shocks, swayars and C5z06 springs on the car currently.

As long as your not doing some "serious" road racing, I believe you will be just fine.
Good luck & hope you will be able to find a set of rears in the near future.

I've sine been looking at the PFADT website, I need their brace for the rear end. also, i'm very impressed with the amount of technical information they put out to the consumer on their website.

When I put the z06 sway bars and shocks on (pre springs) the car would be like the tail wagging the dog on deceleration. It was pretty predictable. but very unnerving at times.

Well our front coilovers with C6Z front bars and C6Z rear shocks and sways is definitely not a setup we would recommend running. You're going to pick up about 20ish% more spring in the front of the car which may help diving under braking, but once you start mixing and matching coilovers and leafs and different shock packages it can become really difficult to tune any particular system properly.

We would recommend either purchasing an entire coilover package, or at least waiting until you can find rear coilovers as well. You definitely CAN install just the fronts, but the results may turn out unpredictably.

As far as unpredictability under braking, you may want to check your alignment. The C6Z bars are pretty rear bar biased and will result in some oversteer in many instances, but rear instability under braking tends to make us think it's something to do with alignment rather than bars.

Awesome, Thanks for the reply, I've been leaning towards leaving things alone until I can get the other two.

Do you still sell the older style rear coilovers? I noticed they aren't on your site any more, I love the amount of technical information that is available on your site.

The older style are not available any more.
However there may be a few vendors that still have new one's, but I'm not sure.

I am just not in the income bracket to spend $2000 on a set of coilovers hence why i bought 2 like new older style off of ebay at a great price.

We cannot sell the older style coilovers any longer. We've discontinued the product and the remaining sets have been set aside for replacement use only. We do have items like the most up to date upper mounts that are still available, but coilover bodies themselves are reserved for replacements only.

Thanks for the kind words about the website! We try to make sure our customers are as educated as possible on the parts they are buying and the performance they should expect!
