Default dyno tuning

I have a 01 m6 coupe. The car had work done by Next Level Performance, which is in FL. It has afr heads, comp cam, halltech, longtubes, corsa's, etc. It was dyno tuned there at 436rwhp. I purchased the car from a dealer and had it shipped to WV where I live the elevation is about 1000-1500 feet above sea level. Do you guys think I should have the car tuned for the change in air/elevation?

It runs like a beast, but I have noticed some popping on decel, and smells pretty rich at idle. It does have random tech cats btw.

No need for a re-tune, the PCM will adapt to the atmospheric pressure differential. It being a bit rich at idle is perfectly normal for a cammed car. Since the work was done by NLP and Geoff is a great tuner, you should be just fine.
My car was originally tuned at sea level and I live at 7500' elevation, and I don't have any problems with how it runs here other than it being a bit rich at idle. Just drive it and enjoy the power!

Thanks Jimbo, thats good to hear. I don't think there is a tuner anywhere close to me anyway.

That's not all bad. It simly means you'll have to drive your beast to that far-away tuner, and then back.

The PCM will adjust to a wide range of atmospheric conditions.

Simple way to remember----
More air------ needs MORE fuel
less air -------needs LESS fuel
In higher altitudes there is less air-- It's less dense (thinner) -so by rights you would have to Remove some fuel --everywhere
Howvever--IF you are still using your STOCK MAF closed loop tune the ECM will self adjust the P/T AFR using your 02's and fuel trims to 14.68 --At WOT your trims should then be
"0" or slightly negative so NO fuel is being added at WOT
At WOT your fuel is being set by the ECM using a combination of your PE table and your
VE table---These commanded AFR's don't self adjust--So in higher altitudes your engine will be running somewhat RICHER at WOT--- It's safe a bit richer is far superior that too LEAN which could cause a lean meltdown---And 1500' is not that big of a change
If your car is a dedicated race car and you want optimum power all the time- then YES you would want to make a fuel correction to get that last little extra HP--But on a D/D ocasional track car---it's a waste of time----
