Default Headlights single or double globes?

I bought the full HID kits for my 2001 Convertible, and got HID globes for both low and high beams. Also picked up a couple new headlight motors, and they also have 2 plugs each, for low and high beams.
Got around to pulling out the first headlight last night, and its only got one globe, for both low and high beam. As I want to use the HID kit and the Motors, is a headlight with both low and high beam capability available to buy as a replacement for the single globed ones I currently have now? If so, who do you suggest, and any rough estimates on cost please?

You can find a decent set of headlight housings on *the auction site* that will accommodate the high and low beam bulbs. The one I purchased was a complete kit...I searched the forum for threads on how to install. It is pretty straight-forward. Only thing you really need to be VERY careful with is the aim adjusters...it is a PITA if you break them!! I did and had to buy COMPLETE headlights...just for the adjusters.

Including the inline resistor for the HID bulbs (purchased from one of our GREAT vendors - JWMotoring) I spent $325 on my setup.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the mention

OP I'm kind of confused on the question. Are you looking for a single high/low bulb kit?

You have a Euro housing. You need to find a stock housing for that side.

I really wouldn't recommend all HID unless you run a relay kit that keeps the lows on all the time. The HID's take time to warm up so you'll lose most of your light when you switch from low to high and again when you switch back.

I bought the car out of the USA, and imported into Australia. I bought the full HID set, and 2 new headlight motors before pulling out my originals. It was then I realised that my headlights were fitted with one H4 globe only, and is for for both low and high beam, so basically, the HID kit wont fit in, and I think I can splice the existing plug off my old motors, and fit them to the new motors. Just connect green to green, brown to brown, and black to black. Any one see any issues with this? May stay with my stock headlights, and purchase low beam HID globes for them only.

Just to recap, Would I be better off staying with my single globed headlights, or is there a site that sells the stock headlights which take both low and high globes?
I dont know how it came to be fitted with Euro style headlights?

The HID kits for those lights are terrible. You might as well just drive around with your high beams on.

The easiest would be to purchase or make a relay harness and fit high wattage 100W/140W bulbs into those lights. PFYC sells a relay harness. You could probably source a generic harness somewhere else as well.
