I want to get a vararam intake but i have already installed PP3, No mufflers exhuast and thermostat. Is there a danger of leaning out the fuel mixture too much. I know the PP3 advances timing and leans out mixture, not to mention the free flow air from the intake and exhaust. I dont want detonation or knocking. Also wanted opinons from other people with vararam. Thanks in advance.
I don't think people with Vararam actually exist
The people that advertise it just say they're "going" to get it, and they "heard" that these gains are possible......
There are people that "have it".
The people that advertise (Vararam) "did get it" and "did ship it".
As for the gains, I'll know something with my next Heilbraun to Nurnburg run.
I have the VR installed on my car and am very satisfied with it. The monkeys told me not to do it but I did it anyway :jester
Seriously, it will work in the same manner as any of the cold air kits. The PCM will adjust the fuel curves until it has found the proper A/F ratio. I have seen no KR with the kit and my combination. This includes while spraying my 100 dry shot.
FWIW, I had a PP3 when my car was new and I had a detonation problem with it's power tuning back then with only the MAS screen removed. I think it is a worthless adjustment no matter what your combination. I have yet to see or hear anyone gain on the dyno or at the track after selecting the HPP3 power tuning.
I have the Vararam. I don't have any fuel problems. I don't race
my car but I love the way it sets me back in the seat when I get
on the gas.
