Default Stock Air Box

I picked up a stock airbox to replace the aftermarket deal installed by the PO. Couple questions. Something is missing where the AIR pump intake hose would go. It just has a hole there. Is there a fitting or perhaps a small filter that goes there? Also, there are two threaded studs at the front of the box. What attaches to these?

Thanks

Edit: I figured out the two studs. They unscrewed them from the front reinforcement when removing the box. So all I need to figure out is how the air pump hose connects.

It is an 90 degree plastic elbow that goes in the hole & the hose attaches to that. Also should be a rubber grommet in the hole.

Default Good news/bad news

Here's the parts diagram of what you're looking at. I just bought some of the same parts as replacements, when I installed a Balckwing, should I ever want to reverse it:

Stud you're referring to is #14. Hose assembly is #16. Grommet to attach cleaner to the studs is #31. The grommet for the airbox, #20, is NLA (the bad news). The grommet is 3/4" ID for the hose, and 1" OD to fit in the box. You'll probably need to source the grommet commercially. Hope this helps.

#20 is the lower hose coming off the air pump to the hose above:

Thanks

So would #19 Connector part 12555054 give me what I need except the gromet? I don't see #17-18 listed

I have the long hose from the pump up to the cleaner. I just need the stuff to hook into the box.

If you buy #16--12557747--you get the connector to your existing lower hose, the "J" shaped hose itself, the clip and the right angle connector that goes into the grommet and the airbox. Order #16 and try to find a grommet the dimensions I gave you and I think you'll be in business. List on the hose is only $14.89 from the local dealer.

Thanks so much!! That's better than trying to explain to my parts guy over the phone.

Good luck and PM me if you have questions. I haven't searched yet for the grommet--I wanted an extra one since I had to modify the existing one to install the Blackwing--but I'm sure there is some commercial source. If you do find a source, let me know--I'd like to pick up a couple for spares.

Hey don't mean to jump in on this thread, but I'm kindof having the same problem. My car came with a crappy intake filter installed, and the hose is just sitting there not connected to anything. I'm going to be installing a Blackwing but need to know what I will need to properly connect the host to the blackwing. If I order #16 will that come with the 90 degree elbow, and is that all I need??? Thank You!!
