Default stock C5 piston ring material
anyone know what the stock piston rings are made out of on a 1997 LS1?

no guessing. i can do that, i need someone who knows the facts. thanks

thats what i concluded as well. have any idea of when GM switched from using plain iron rings to using ductile iron rings?
