I know this tool cannot program. I am looking for the ability for two way comunications. To be able to activate modules. Much more than to be able to read and delete codes
Not sure which package your looking at. I've never used that tool it but I have used the basic free program that it comes with, and it doesn't do much. The basic software only reads PCM codes so your car has a better scan tool built in. If you want the GM enhanced software, that is $90 and you have to already have the XL software package that cost $90. I saw no mention of bidirectional communications in the description. It doesn't sound like a great deal if you add that in. You might want to check out Autotap or one of the tuning packages like EFILive or HP Tuners.
Thanks Guys. After a closer look, it doesn't look like it can access any of the BCM modules. That, to me is a must. Autoenginuity looks like it will. A little more expensive, but only about two dignostic trips to the dealer.
