A4 still lags on downshift after Hypertech reprogram. Need advice.

A4 still lags on downshift after Hypertech reprogram. Need advice.
I just purchased the HypertechIII and programmed my shifts as follows:
1-2 +2mph
2-3 +4mph
3-4 +0mph
Shift Firmness 50%
The reason I wanted to program in the first place is because the trans seriously lags when downshifting into first gear. I talking MAJOR waiting involved before it decides that it's safe to downshift when I floor it. It downshifts quickly into other gears though. I talked with others who have programmed who said their cars no longer hunt for gears. What would make a tranny lag so much? It's VERY annoying hitting the gas, coasting for a second, and then being forced back into the seat when it rockets off into first gear! Does the firmness setting change it at all? Thanks.

Your PPIII is NOT the tool your looking for when it comes to that type of modification.
You will need a custom program fir those types of changes. Try Steve Cole, Ed Wright or LS-1 EDIT.
In my opinion, spend the extra $ and get real tuning, Hypertech is a joke!
