hey all anyone try this cam ? currently i have a ls2 bottom end forged and ls3 top end. i really want a street 3/4 race cam. i dont care about driveablity. 248/254 - .615/.623 - 110 lsa
IF you have an A4 it will require much trial and error to get the driveability down--Things like idle-surging-flaring-hunting-dying will surface--Also with that big of a cam on an A4 a higher stall converter is practically a must --A stock converter won't hold at a stop light and it will take lots of brake effort to get it to stay put at the possible 850-900 required idle--On a 6 speed it won't be as bad--but be prepared in order to get the full benefit of the high duration your highest power will be up around 6500-6700 and your usable HP and TQ band will be moved higher as well--- Stock is around 2800-6000 and i would guess that cam's band will be more like 4000-6700----
Flaring is like surging --surging is when it hunts and the RPM's go up and down faster --Flaring is where the RPM's flare up and stay there for a long time--

If you dont care about driveablity then you have made a good choice or why not even bigger ??
If you want the best cam for your setup you need a different cam.

I have a big cam 440ci in my 02 Zo6. I recently installed Siemens 60lb injectors because the 38 lb injectors were at 105% duty cycle.
I did put all the new injector specs in my tune.(HPTuners) I am having a idle hunting problem when I come to a stop. It drops to 600rpm and jumps up to 1400rpm a few time before it settles. Also I have bucking at light throttle between 1200-1800rpm's. I don't know if it was the right thing to do but I added first 10% to the RAF and it help a little so I added another 10%. Seems I when I come to a stop if I put it in neutral and let the clutch out the idle settles right down to 950. Any Ideas?
Thank for any help!
