Hopefully someone out there can help me with a weird problem I'm having.
Both of my key fobs have stopped working. I've checked their batteries and they are good.
The only thing I can figure is I disconnected the car battery ( actaully it went dead but that's another problem ) over the winter and now the keyless does not work.
Is there a re-porgramming necessary when the car battery is removed like with programmable radio stations? That's the only explanation I can think of.
If that doesn't work, there's a more lengthy procedure to reprogram your fob using the options buttons on the C5. You can do a search here on the forum for "key fob" -- a few months ago I remember someone posted the how-to. (Basically, you press the options buttons until nothing appears on the DIC (kind of like a secret stealth operation) :jester and that puts you into reprogram mode. Need more help, just IM me.

The advantage of this method id that you can tell the car which fob is #1 and which one is #2 for purposes of memory settings. If you don't have the memory function, or don't care which one is #1 or #2, as mentioned earlier, just hold the lock - unlock buttons down until the car recognizes it, and you're done.
