If not, 99% probability that you have air in the coolant system.
Search for coolant bleeding.
The other possibility is that you got a faulty thermostat. Throw it into a pot of water with a thermometer and slowly bring it up to 190 degrees. See where that sucker opens up.

Do a search, you will find the answer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Help yourself first, so that we may help you.,,,,,,,,,you have the car, don't expect us to help every little turn if you are not going to get down and dirty.
Don't mean to be crude, but some people will spend an hour's on the forum posting and waiting for answer's, instead of taking ten minutes to search and/or go OUT to the car and check it.............

To all, It wasn't meant to be crude or rude to anyone, but simple searches about overheating would have brought up a ton of posts. Including the suggestions, check the air dam, did you recently replace the coolant, ETC...............
After being on the forum for a while, I have noticed that most members don't read the stickies or read through the forum, a lot of members join up after they have a problem and some older members, on having a problem get back on the forum and post "HELP". I joined the forum to LEARN about my car as I do with all my cars. That way a dealer or repair shop can't quote me a replacement for the starter when it's only a fuse blown. I give advise and take advise. If there is a problem with my car, I check the usual things associated with the problem first, then I check the forum, last , if I can't find a solution I post the problem and hope others can help.
My, "help yourself first, so that others may help you" is not meant to be sarcastic, it is simple, find out everything about your problem and have all the facts, then post, that way members can see all you have tried and give helpful answer's, with out stabbing away in the dark.
I read the forum to discover new things about my car and learn about possible problems and how to correct them or which direction to go into before the problem comes up, that's being prepared.
To see "oil pressure gauge PEGGED", "help oil pressure", "WTF my oil gauge broke?" in the same page, shows that people are not reading the forum and will spend hours posting instead of a 2 minute search and finding a possible answer..........
The low speed cooling fan is commanded on when the coolant temperature reaches 108°C (226°F). It is turned off if the coolant temperature lowers to 104°C (219°F). The high speed cooling fan is commanded on when the coolant temperature reaches 113°C (235°F). It is turned off if the coolant temperature lowers to 108°C (226°F). When the A/C is on and the coolant temperature reaches 85°C (185°F), the low speed cooling fan will be turned on at vehicle speeds less than 56 kPh (35 mph).
This is right from the tech manual.
As others have said check for debris. if yoo still want lower temps you will need a stat and a tune. if you still feel you have air in the system try this link below. This is a better way to bleed the system from the head itself post 4 and 12 is where you wanna read and there are some pics in the second page.
