Default Question about Tire sizes

Hello guys, I'm a new member the the Corvette club. I just bought a 1999 C5 Targa top 6 speed. Doing a few new car upgrades and just bought new rims. I bought c6 wheels that are 18x9.5 front and 19x10 for the rear. They didn't come with tires and had a few questions about what to do about buying tires. I don't necessarily need the run flats since its not my daily driver. I'm not sure on tire size and height. I want my Speedometer to be accurate with the 1" increase and was also unsure about the TPS. the rear left one doesn't work but the other 3 do work. are those changeable from rim to rim? I'm kinda on a budget so I wanna keep price in mind. any tires in particular better than others? does the rim change as far as width and height cause any problems as far as rubbing on the c5? Thanks guys!!!

The rim size does not matter, what matters is the diameter of the tires you put on them. Front diameter should be 1/2" less than the rear to keep the computer happy. TPS change into the new rims. Probably a good idea to change the o-rings on the stems and be sure to put them back on the car on the location they came from other wise you will have to reprogram them. The size of the rims you have will cause no problems with rubbing. Welcome to the forum.

I think you want a 295/30/19 on the rear and a 265/35/18 on the front.

You need to stay close to the same diamter (26.2") on the rear to maintain speedo accuracy.

Good luck and post us up some pics.
