I have a 98 supercharged vette. Went to pick up car after some body repair and no fuel pressure. I have a hi-flow pump in the tank and a boost a pump. The boost a pump keeps blowing its fuse as soonas you turn the key on. Any ideas? Would a bad Fuel pump blow the boost a pump fuse?

Really helps if you provide details... Which BAP, model, etc? What body work? What repairs were done exactly? Which fuse is blowing?

Sorry, I don't post often. I don't remember the boost a pump model. It was a red, finned non-adjustable model for over 500hp engines. The engine puts out 547rwhp. I had the rear bumper and driver's side rear panel replaced afer a semi drifted over into me on the highway. No damage other than the two body parts were ground down by the semo wheel. The fuse that is blowing is the boost a pump fuse. I haven't heard about the boost apumps ever failing so I was wondering if the in tank pump failed, would that short go bakc to the boost a pump module and blow its fuse? I have checked at the tank fule pump connection and I am getting power back there.

I could pull up a schematic for the BAP, if I knew which one it is. Even a picture would help, and knowing if there is a full harness install, etc. To isolate the pump, you can simply unplug the connector from the left pump, and see if the fuse blows. If you can provide info about the BAP install, I can help....if not.....just guessing how it's wired.
The pump is a MSD 2350. The fuse it is blowing is on the boost a pump pwr wire between the pump module and the relay for the module. We replaced the relay and the fuse blew again as soon as the key is turned to On. I'm thinking it is a bad boost a pump module. When the car was in the shop the battery terminals were dirt and they said they clicked the starter a bunch before I told them to check the cables. I'm thinking the constant on and off, and the battery not being grounded properly may have been the culprit.

Ok. I have a schematic now. Did you follow my last suggestion....unplugging the fuel pump itself?
