What Can it be ?
Can i fix it myself ?
Grateful for any help
Hej,
When you say it does not start the first time, do you mean the engine rotates, but does not fire......or.....the engine does not rotate at all on the first try?
The engine rotates, but does not fire.
I turne the key a second time, i hear a small wizzing noise and the car starts Without problem
Start by checking the fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a gauge. Have the gauge hooked up for the first cold start. Turn the key to on, but do not turn to start. The fuel pressure should be 55-61 psi, and should hold at that value, without bleeding down quickly.
I think your fuel pump will be expiring soon, it sounds like symptoms my Chevy pickup experienced. It actually did that for several months before it totally died.

Opend the hud and took a look at what i need to do this.
Stupid quastion : How do i open the Fuel pressure valv cap ?
This will take a while to find parts her in SWEDEN
4 an female schrader valve coupling : in english please....
I finally gave up trying to find the right tools in my city and drove down to my Corvette guy...
He helpt me out with no charge
Startet the car ten times in a row and the car fired up al ten times ????
I hade the PSI reading beteende 40-60,
Waited for 5 min turn the key without starting i it measured 15 PSI
Turnd the key again and it measured 60 PSI and it droped really fast.
Did this multiple times with the same results.
Tried to start the car when it was on 15 PSI : the engine workt really hard to fire and the PSI started to climb when it hit around 50 PSI it fired, this was not a beautiful thing .....
Talked to the guys in the shop and their suggestion was probably the fuel pump, but did not sound sure.
What now ?

So when the engine is running, the fuel pressure is constant? If so, three possibilities:
1) Leaky injector
2) Bad check valve in the left pump assembly
3) Bad fuel pressure regulator.
Are there instructions on this forum how to check and fix this problems.
Please send links .
Do i need to be worried about this problem ?
If it's the check valve in the pump, it will be more of an annoyance, as you will have to wait until the pressure builds for starting. If you have a leaking injector, this could fill a cylinder, and hydrolock the engine...resulting in damage. If the fuel pressure regulator is going bad, this could lead to a lean or rich condition.
So yes, you need to investigate the issue. The best way to solve, is through isolation:
1) Isolating the fuel rail
2) Isolate the regulator
3) Isolate the pump
You will need the correct adapters for the fuel lines to accomplish this. Does your corvette shop have these tools?
Have you ever changed the fuel filter ??? A clogged filter would make the fuel pump "labor" when trying to start--- Even though your fuel pressure is OK there may be very little volume--

A clogged fuel filter does not explain the bleed down.
I bought the car last year and it was imported from the USA the year before.
I found so many strange things in the car and under the hud. 12.400 miles with various owners. I dont think the fuel filter was changed in a long time ...... And i need to start somewhere.

How abaout the WIX 33737 ?
You can try that. The pressure regulator is built into the filter.
So i have changed the fuel filter and at the same time changed to a BLACKWING air filter
Awsome tool by the way....
The starting problem is 50 % better than before.
Do i need to drive och start the car a couple of times before the computer has ( changed it's information) it feels like i dont have full power ?
Problem number 2: when driving i get BRAKE BEFORE SHIFT, WTF ?
10 PCM P0705
Little help please
