nothing happens when I use the passenger control ****. no codes show up anywhere either. drivers side temp control works fine and shows on the screen. passenger does not show on the screen at all when you turn the ****.

Check your owners manual. It is not supposed to show on the screen.

The Drivers side control **** is what actually sets the temp, all the Pass side control does is increase or decrease the temp by about 5-10 degrees (not sure exactly how much) but it doesnt change the number in the display only the actual pass side air temp. IMO kind of a useless feature since its not a true dual zone climate control like other cars. Anyway, it sounds as if if working as it should, hope this helps.
