Electical Gremlins.... Dash lit like a Christmas Tree
Next the dash lit up....
ABS light, Traction control light, air bag light, check engine light
Fuel gauge at 0
Oil pressure at 0
Engine temp pegged at 260
( Tach, speedo working)
Voltmeter showing 13.
DIC --- service engine soon , service traction system, check tire pressure, low fuel, service tire pressure, reduced engine power
Ran diagnostic codes..... no codes but every category read No Comm
The Vette started fine, ran fine.
I turned it off, it ran for a couple miles normally and then the dash light up again as above....
I have it on a battery charger at the moment even though it read 13.1V across the terminals on the Optima Red top
I believe I have a bad passenger DCM.
Any other thoughts? Bad ground? battery or alternator?
thanks
Rich

I switched out the DCM with my wife's '04 unit and things still did not work.
I talked with Bill Curlee who suggested I check out the connector pins in the A pillar. I adjusted them with a dental pick and all was well until today.
When my wife tried to raise the window, it did not work and almost immediately afterward the dash lit up....
The is no water or dampness on the BCM nor under the seat nor on the toe kick plate....
Since the passenger door has the symptoms, I plan to start there....
Thanks.

But the battery was flat this am.... Put it on a charger and had it tested.
The battery is fine, but the alternator is not charging the battery.

With the engine running, you should read FULL CHARGING voltage on that terminal to chassis ground. You should see the SAME charging voltage at the battery POS terminal to ground.
You can use a single 10 ga wire and jump from the battery POS Terminal over to the BATT terminal on the alternator.
If you get normal alternator operation with the JUMPER WIRE in place, your problem lies with the wiring somewhere between the battery & the alternator
The main area where this usually goes bad is the STARTER SOLENOID!
The main solenoid terminal MUST be clean/corrosion free and TIGHT!!

The alternator wire also has a fusible link that could be BLOWN. Heres the schematic:

If you cant find the Issue let me know after I get home on Wednesday.
