In my 98 my driver side ac is acting weird but my passenger side seems fine. When I turn the driver side down to 60 it doesnt feel as cold as the passenger side. When I mess with the **** on the passenger side I can feel the temp. change. I checked for codes and this is what I got
B0361 H
B0363 H
B0441 H C
I listened to see if I had a broken gear in the actuator but I dont hear any clicking or grinding noise thru the vents. I been doing some research and I found reindexing the actuator gears? How do I go with that? Any help with be appreciate
B0361 Left Actuator Feedback Short to GND
B0363 Left Actuator Feedback Open
B0441 Left Actuator Out of Range
For the first code how do I make sure it has a good ground?
and for the second how do I close it? or does it need to be closed?
and for the third code how do I get it back in range?
I think you need to start over. What system do you have? Dual or Manual? Tell us what is exactly going on? I don't understand the windshield thing at all. If you are low on freon, it can cause a lot of these issues, but at this point more information is really needed.
I'm surprised that there wasn't an issue with the actuator. Put the actuator back in then clear the codes. This will force things to recalibrate, then check for codes again. Verify that the small black plastic line from the MAP to down behind the battery, through the firewall, isn't damaged. To add, just because the gear isn't cracked, is not saying that its still not bad. Those codes are saying its bad. Send a PM to Bill Curlee as he's had his all apart and knows a lot about it.

I have a Dual AC system. Before I took the left actuator out, At night my windshield would fog up so I would try to defrost it by pressing the defrost button. Instead of clearing it up, it would only make it worse adding condensation to the windshield. I put my right hand over the vent to feel the temp. and it was blowing cold air instead of warm/hot air. I dont think thats normal...I went to the store today to buy a $20 r134 that comes with a gauge that reads only for the low side. Green=Low Blue=Filled Yellow=Alert and Red=Danger. I started the ignition turned the ac to full blast and connected the gauge without the can just to see the reading. The needle stopped at Blue 36psi which means I didnt lose any freon. So after getting frustrated, I finally just tooked out the driver actuator(which was no problem since I know where its located) It took me a good 5 mins to get it out laying on my back and looking up under the dash. I went inside and took the 4 screws out to see if I had any broken gears. I found no broken gears at all. Put it back together and put it back in the car. Checked the codes and instead of getting 3 codes I am only getting 2 now. B0361 H C and B0441 H.

How do I find this small black plastic line without taking the whole top of the engine apart?
I didn't disconnect the battery when I took out the actuator. Could that be the cause to my problem? I'm gonna disconnect it tonight before I go to bed and connect it back in the morning to see if that cures it. I'm gonna hope for the best and sorry getting back to you so late.
A search for B0361 will find a few posts on this topic.
I have found the following fixes:
1) Disconnect battery for 1 hour to let the actuator reset.
2) Add a little freon (don't see how this would affect our single evaporator A/C)
3) Replace the actuator.
#1 where it states to disconnect the battery for a while to get the actuator to reset... have you tried that? I don't see where you have mentioned that yet.
Had the same problem with my 2000 Coupe.Changed the actuator and still had the problem. I tried all the how to fix tips on this forum and nothing worked. Had a mechanic hook up his a/c gauges to mine and he said everything was fine. Finally got so frustrated I brought it to the dealer. I was low on 134a. The charged it and it has been blowing cold for over a year. For some reason these systems a very particular with refrigerant levels.

So you had a mechanic hook up his gauges and he said it was fine? But when you took it to the dealer they said you were low on freon? Did they hook up their gauges to it?
Yes they charged me to charge the a/c. From what I read these a/c systems are moody with the slightest drop in refrigerant levels. My mechanic did not detect it was low. The dealer detected low refrigerant and charged it. Said I had a leak at the compressor. I did not have the compressor changed. That all happened about April of last year. It is blowing cold out of both sides today after the dealer correctly diagnosed it and charged the system.
