What other mods do you have? Stock, aftermarket, milled heads? What size valves?

No offense

TOO big of cam for a stock LS1. ie Over cammed

241 heads do not flow much above a cam lift of .575.

running a smaller cam will get much more out of the LS1.

220/224 http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1087&sb=2

224/230 581/588 with a 114+2 may get you more hp out of the LS1 then the bigger cam above

You will need new springs, new timing chain, new push rods, and a dyno tune to make it all work

Good Luck

Also that cam is designed for rectangle port heads. I wouldn't go that that big of a cam anyways. I have 3 cams in my 02z ranging is size from 230 to 250 duration. The smaller cams made more power and had better driveability.

I think there is a decent chance the cam might fit, but I agree with these other guys in saying that it is probably too big specs wise. Something with a little less duration will work much better as far as power and drivability. We have very solid results from our 228R(228/228 .588/.588) cam over the years, I highly recommend it for any street driven corvette.

Default Too Big!

That cam is too big for your LS1.

i'm putting a similar cam in my ERL 454 with WCCH LS3 heads. Yoy might want to look at the cams suggested by AU N EGL.

Thanks for all the advise guys, there is no offense taken, I wanted advise and appreciate it. Since I posted the other day the wife and I had a discussion and she feels its time for the vette to pull its weight since our jeeps motor went south. Any reccomendations for a cam that's bigger than an ls6 but won't require 30,000 mile spring changes or break my torque tube couplers, diff, etc? Just enough to keep me ahead of the newer faster stock cars ya know.
