We do. I'm sorry, I've been out for two weeks at the LSX shootout as well as a goodguys show. I believe I have responded to your email now that I am back.

I bought a 418 from another vender and it looks like it will fall through. Were those the dyno fiqures for this engine and I assume there is a 58x option based on your post is that correct? This will go in my Corvette
L88 replica. Thanks

Yes, the dyno sheets were for this exact setup. We keep them in stock in both 24x and 58x, I currently have 4 of the 58x in stock and ready to ship the same day as ordered.

Thanks, I will call you this week. What intake and TB were you using for the test?

Is that Rwhp and if not do you have some numbers for that, am just about ready to pull the trigger on a forged ls3 417 stroker, but for about the same price this setup might offer more N/A ponies.

1. How big of a shot of NOS can this setup safely take with a good NOS tune?,

2. How much HP can that bottom end handle?

3. are those pistons able to tolerate higher heats than stock aluminum pistons?

thanks in advance

It is an engine dyno, not a chassis dyno. I've seen aorund 520rwhp with this setup in an automatic on a chassis dyno. Results may vary. 4.100 stroke setups are not ideal for a power adder. If you want to spray over 100 shot, maybe 150, it would be better to stick with a 4.00 stroke like the 417. The bottom end can handle a ton of power, but the piston design in a 4.100 stroke application limits you to N/A or small shots of nitrous.

Hmm I was thinking of possibly SC'ing down the road so I guess this combo would be out.

What could you put together that would handle boost but still be around 600HP N/A? Like a 417-418?

So if I understand it, the big difference in the 417/418 and the 427 is the ability to add power adders with the 418 correct?

We would need to talk about a more involved setup. Give us a call so we can get more information on what you're looking to do.
